Why rich people are boring with money
The flex is that there's no flex.
The internet sells a loud version of wealth: cars, watches, βpassive incomeβ courses, screenshots of trades. Actual wealth is almost embarrassingly quiet.
The pattern is clear and a little funny: most people who build real, lasting wealth do it through profoundly boring habits. They spend less than they make. They invest the difference in plain index funds. They leave it alone for decades. They don't time the market, chase the hot stock, or flex. That's the whole strategy.
The loud stuff β day-trading, crypto moonshots, flexing β mostly transfers money from the impatient to the patient. Boring wins because boring compounds, and compounding only needs you to not screw it up.
If your money strategy sounds exciting, be suspicious. If it sounds boring, you might be doing it right.
This week: make peace with boring. The goal isn't a thrilling portfolio. It's a quiet one that makes you free.
