The lifestyle creep trap
More money in, more money out β unless you catch it.

You'd think earning more automatically means having more. It usually doesn't. Meet lifestyle creep: every time your income rises, your spending quietly rises to match. New money, new βneeds.β The raise vanishes.
It's why people earning six figures can feel just as broke as people earning a third of that. The bigger paycheck bought a bigger apartment, a nicer car, pricier habits β and the bank balance didn't move. You speed up; the scenery stays the same.
The escape is almost stupidly simple: when income goes up, don't let all your spending follow. Bank the gap. Get a raise? Send half of it to savings/investing before lifestyle absorbs it. You won't feel poorer β you'll feel the same, except now you're building wealth instead of renting a nicer life.
This week: decide your βraise ruleβ now, before the money exists. Future-you, when the first real paycheck hits, will be very glad you did.
